First Year Advice:
I would say if some one is in their first semester, they will have lots of opportunity to explore themselves. So a first semester student should spend lots of time getting knowledge about the city and country as well as the college and rules and regulations here. First semester is not so tough, but even then spend good amount of time on your studies and get good marks, always. Always participate in the programs inside and outside the college, because it will surely help you to encourage and explore yourself.
