A Virtual Desktop Explained
Normally programs are installed on your computer and appear in the monitor when they are running. A virtual desktop is where the windows desktop and programs you see are run remotely on a server but appear on your monitor as though running on your machine
- You don’t have to buy programs for you computer since they are available through the virtual desktop.
- Program upgrades are all done automatically – zero maintenance. Everything is maintained by Algonquin college
- It should be faster than your normal desktop
- Where ever you access this virtual desktop it will appear as it did last time.
