We are pleased to celebrate with you some of the Algonquin College Foundation’s 2011-2012 accomplishments. These accomplishments are due to the generosity of our donors, our College and Foundation Board leadership, and the tireless commitment of our Campaign Cabinet volunteers.

Before describing some of our Foundation’s endeavours, we wish to acknowledge and pay tribute to recently retired, Robert C. Gillett for his immeasurable contributions as President of Algonquin College. We are proud to note that under his exemplary seventeen years of leadership, Algonquin College established its first Foundation in 2003, which has raised over $30 million dollars in cash and capital assets.

A special highlight from this year’s outreach was the great success of the Algonquin Centre of Construction Excellence Campaign (ACCE). Under the volunteer leadership of Roger Greenberg (Honorary Chair) and Dwight Brown (Chair), the Campaign Cabinet exceeded its goal and raised over $7.5 million. Campaigns continue to raise funds to support both the Pembroke and Perth Campaigns.

The Foundation welcomed the return of alumni relations and looks forward to connecting with alumni to engage in many of the College’s initiatives.

In addition to the above initiatives, funds were raised for student bursaries and scholarships and plans have begun to move forward with the development of partnerships in alignment with academic sector visions.
