Welcome to Focus on Learning
As a participant in the FOL program, you will have a chance to explore ways of developing your teaching practice within a collaborative and creative environment. A challenging and interactive venue of activities is planned to allow you to explore learning issues and practice “tried and true” teaching techniques.
Spanning an academic year, the FOL program involves two, in-residence sessions during which you will have a chance to network with fellow teaching colleagues from other colleges as well as your own. Plus, you will be able to tap into a network of over 1500 college teachers in the Eastern Region who have taken part in regional professional development opportunities.
It’s a challenge keeping ahead of the changes happening in the college system and we rely on you our participants, our group facilitators, planning committee and invited `experts’ to help us do just that. Even though participants tell us that the FOL program is some of the most valuable professional development available, we try to tell THEM that they’re the real resources.
Please take some time to have a look at the overview of the program and the related information available on this site. For further information, please contact the planning team member at your college. You will find her/him listed under “Contacts”.
