E-counselling Services
The CSD is now offering E-Counselling services for students with disabilities who want to access accommodations. Students who live outside of the Ottawa area or who have little time during regular business hours to access services, can now register and set up accommodations online with a Disability Counsellor. E-Counselling provides students with an alternative to face-to-face appointments so that they can use CSD services anytime and anywhere.
How does it work?
The E-Counselling option gives students the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Disability Counsellor. Once a student provides disability documentation to the CSD, services and accommodations are set up through regular e-mail communication with their counsellor. The student can simply send an e-mail to their counsellor whenever they have a question and should receive a response within one business day.
What services can I access?
Students using E-Counselling services can set up accommodations, receive disability-related counselling, and discuss their learning needs, as well as learn strategies for becoming more efficient learners. How often they wish to contact their counsellor is completely their choice. This service is meant to support students throughout their time at Algonquin.
What do I need to do to get started?
